The Buddha taught how to live alone in the desert [1]
The Buddha entered the 13th at Caliwa, in the city of Klika, Koliya. Venerable Meghiya is the attendant for the Buddha. One day, begging for food in the village of Jantu, Meghiya saw the mango garden on the banks of the Kimikàlà River is very fresh and convenient to meditate, so please go to Buddha meditation practice alone, Listen to the Buddha teaches the monk to live alone in the desert. Although the Buddha advised him to wait until another substitute attendant, he repeated his third request. Buddha allowed. Mr. Meghiya was delighted to go to the mango garden on the banks of the Kimikàl River, practicing meditation alone. But when being alone in the desert, he feels the thoughts of greed and anger often arise to disturb his mind. Frustrated, he returned to the White Buddha about the obstacles. The Buddha taught:
- Meghiya, who wants to live alone in the desert must first have the spirit of self-reliance, not rely on the help of others. Then you have to know yourself to have sufficient catechism, force and strength. If one realizes that the mind is not mature, that is not enough catechesis, force and concentration, then the novices need the following five things to help the mind to mature:
1- It is necessary to have good intellectual knowledge, that is, fellow initiates have sufficient wisdom and virtue to guide themselves.
2- There should be precepts to help you stay in mindfulness.
3- There should be a convenient opportunity to learn the Dharma of enlightenment and liberation.
4- Need to diligently diligently practice meditation.
It is necessary to exclude prejudices, prejudices, wrong thoughts in order to attain right understanding, right mind and wisdom.
Meghiya, who wants to subdue craving, anger and delusion, must practice the Nine-Tails, Compassion, Irregularity and Customization.
The Nine Commentaries is an observation of the decaying process of the body through the nine stages from the moment of death until the bones become ashes. This is to make it clear that our bodies are impermanent, unclean, transient, worthless, obedient, caring. But human body is a precious means that can help us achieve rapid results. Nine Commentaries help us treat craving .
Compassion is the observation of the suffering and suffering of all living beings. Life is suffering, so we should not increase suffering but should try to alleviate suffering of beings. Compassionate help us deal with anger .
Impermanence is the observation of the process of birth of the universe in accordance with each cycle of life, head, nibbling, no, to counter desires and delusion, to see that life as dreams, like dew drops, like Lightning, like the image in a water bubble, like a flower in the middle of nowhere, does not deserve to be arduous, scrambled, preserved. Impermanence helps us counter desires and concealment .
Custom Consciousness is to monitor the breath in order to counter the scattered mind, and to nourish mindfulness .
Hey Meghiya, you should practice these four practices regularly so that your mind can be mastered before you live alone in the desert.END=NAM MO AMITABHA BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH GIAC TAM.THE MIND OF ENLIGHTENMENT.VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=GOLDEN AMITABHA PURELAND=AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.11/5/2017.
