BUDDHISM FIRST TIME.8
After accepting the request of Brahma Sahamati for the spread of the Dharma, the Buddha thought:
- Who will be the first person to receive the Dhamma? Who can get the quickest Dhamma? (The Law, Great Product, vol. 1: 10).
"Ālàra Kālàma (the first master of Prince Siddhattha) was educated, intelligent, knowledgeable, long lost no dust in his eyes. Or will the Tathagata teach the Dharma to him first?
A god appeared in front of the Buddha, bowed to him and said:
- Lord Buddha, a lama Ālàra Kālàma has died a week ago .
The Buddha uses the celestial body to verify this. Then he thought of his second guru, Uddaka Ramaputta. The heavens appear again that Uddaka Ramaputta guru died the night before . Again the Buddha again using the celestial label to confirm. Then he thought of five very devoted devotees who dedicated themselves to him for six long years of ascetic training. He used the celestial observatory, found that these five are Kondanna, Bhaddiya, Vappa, Mahalàma Kulika and Assaji, who are now in Deer Park, in the village of Isipatana (now Sarnath), Benares (Now Varanasi) 10km to the north.
1- Make Deer Lane [1]
The Buddha planned to take the big road to go from Gaya to Benares. On the road from Bodh Gaya (Bodhgaya) to the city of Gaya, one ascetic named Upaka [2] to see him, asked:
- Hey brethren, brethren true senses pure, true brethren complexion bright. Whose followers come from? Who is the teacher of the brother? Who teaches the teachings?
The Buddha replied in verse:
- " Tathagata has surpassed everything, has been through all.
"Having escaped all the constraints,
"Give up everything, no longer love,
"Understand all yourself, who is the teacher? (Dhammapada, Lesson 353)
" Tathagata without a teacher,
"No one in Tathagata.
"In the world and even the gods,
"No one can compare with the Tathagata.
"Tathagata is an arahant in this world,
"Being an apostle;
"As a whole,
"The mind is calm and calm.
"Tathagata is on his way to Kasi
"To turn the French wheel;
And between the blind world,
"Tathagata will go to the empty Vo Sanh. [3]
- Dear Buddhist, Upaka asked questions, so the right to self-identify as Arahant, the power of supernatural power?
" The sublime beings are like the Tathagata,
"You have destroyed all the pollution,
"Overcome all the evil things sin.
So, this Upaka, the Tathagata is the divine.
- Could it be? Can that be so? Upaka lowered his head and muttered, then took a shortcut to Vankahara while the Buddha continued north.
The Buddha calmly traveled to Gaya, then from Gaya to Benares, from Benares to Isipatana, and then to Migaraya.
Upaka later married his wife, Kaka, who loved his wife but was dissatisfied with his wife and made a parody of him. He went to the Buddha to seek ordination and was ordained by Buddha, Later on the result of A na jaw.
2- Mr. Kondanna and four of his friends [4]
The Buddha came to Deer Park, in the village of Isipatana (now Sarnath), at the beginning of the third solar calendar of 589 BC. Seeing the Buddha from afar, the five priests of the Kondanna group discussing each other will not bow to him with the same reverence. They misunderstood him when he renounced his ascetic practice of meditation. They said to each other:
" Dear friends, Gotama is coming to us. He was not persistently trying to practice ascetic, has returned to luxury living. It is not worth it for us to welcome and honor service. We should not take the bowl and wash our feet. But he is also a kings, we should also make a seat available, if he wants to sit, then sit.
However, as the Buddha drew near, his solemn and dreadful nature naturally sensed five monks. Nobody asked anyone, who came to take the bowl, who had cleaned the seats, who went to collect water for washing his feet, and called him "avuso," the usual way of speaking among fellow practitioners, Or let the superior speak to the lower. At present there is a Chaukhandi tower where Lord Buddha meets the five Kondanna brothers, which is a large earthen mound with a brick watchtower on the top.
The Buddha advised:
- Bhikkhu, Bhiksu, should not call the Tathagata by name or by "virtuous". Monks, the Tathagata is the Buddha, the omniscient. O bhikkhus, listen to this, Tathagata has become the eternal Noble Eightfold Path. Tathagata will teach the teachings of enlightenment and liberation. If you practice according to the teachings of the Tathagata, the teacher soon will be realized by the intuitive mind of the teacher, and in this life you will achieve a very spiritual life. . It is because of wanting to find the noble life that many noble house has left family, career to live homeless.
- Hey brethren Gotama, before, with many strict discipline and austerity that brethren have not achieved any superhuman knowledge or enlightened deserved a Buddha. Now that the dharma has given up trying, returning to luxurious living, how can one attain sublime special knowledge or a worthy realization to a Buddha?
- Monks, the Tathagata is not luxurious, does not stop trying, and does not return to life benefits. Tathagata is the Buddha, the omniscient. O bhikkhus, listen to this, the Tathagatas have attained the eternal Path of Infinite Light and will teach the Enlightenment Dharma and liberation. If you practice according to the teachings of the Tathagata, the teacher soon will be realized by the intuitive mind of the teacher, and in this life you will achieve a very spiritual life. . It is because of wanting to find the noble life that many noble house has left family, career to live homeless.
For the second time the five Taoists remained biased and disappointed. The third time, after the Buddha repeats the affirmation, the five priests still hold the position, expressed skepticism. The Buddha asked again:
- Monks, do not you know that once Tathagata has told the teacher like that?
- Not really.
The Buddha repeated once again that he was omniscient, and that the five Taoists could realize it by practicing according to his teachings.
It was the sincere words spoken by the Buddha himself. The five priests are good people, although having a bad prejudice, hearing the Buddha repeatedly, have also recognized that the Buddha has truly achieved the ultimate virtue and is fully capable. The ability to guide yourself. Five teachers then believed the Buddha, so he invited the Buddha to a cool place, in the deer garden, where the meeting place over a kilometer, sit down, quietly listening to Buddha teaches Zhuan Falun (Dhamma cakka Pàvāttàna) [5] .
3- Buddhist theory Zhuan Falun [6] (-589)
To watch that three nights, under the full moon, the Buddha said:
- Bhikkhus, there are two extremes that pabbajitena must avoid:
1 - The trend of sensual pleasures (Kàmasukkhallikànuyoga), because of such a worldly, humble, crooked and disgusting;
2- The strictness of the asceticism (Attakilamathànuyoga), because it is painful, not worthy of holy and useless.
Tathagata has abandoned both extremes, following the Middle Way (Majjhima Patipada) to develop vision (cakkhu), knowledge (nana), and towards peace [7] (vupasamaya), high intellectual super (abhinnaya), enlightenment (sambodhaya), and nirvana (Nibbana, nirvana).
Monks, what is the Middle Way that Tathagatas have applied to develop vision, knowledge and progress to calm, wisdom, enlightenment and nirvana?
It is the Noble Eightfold Path, [8] which includes:
1 - Right view (sammà-ditthi, see the things that are true to the truth of the general impermanence, the real nature of not self, and the true nature of them, not false according to the wrong view, wrong view. The Four Noble Truths, know life is suffering so do not attachment, know the cause of suffering so do not be afraid to drowning in samsara, know the mind is death (Nirvana) is calm peace, know the Noble Eightfold The path of liberation leads to true eternal happiness),
2- mind thinking (sammà-sankappa, is the right thinking according to the Proper Dharma, according to the cause of conditions, so that can bring joy and happiness for everyone),
3- Right Speech (Samma-vaca, is gentle, honest, ethical, helpful words for the listener, propagation profit),
4. Right Action (sammà-kammanta, is acting right feet on the body and mind, his interests, interests, help all suffering be funny)
(5) Right livelihood (sammà-ajiva, living by the righteous do not offend the body, property of others),
6. Right effort (sammà-vayama, is hard to do good, avoid evil power),
7. Mindfulness (sammà-sati, always remember the good thing to do, remember the evil should be avoided, remember to practice disciplines; Mindfulness is supreme-mind)
8- Right Concentration (sammà-samadhi, is always keep the mind pure, wise, not scattered).
Here the Buddha said about the Four Noble Truths as follows:
1. Hey monks, this is the truth of suffering (dukkha Ariya Sacca, Noble Truth )! Birth is suffering, aging is suffering, illness is suffering, death is suffering, not love is suffering, love is far from suffering, desire is not suffering. In short, clinging to the five aggregates [9] is suffering.
2. Hey monks, this is the truth of Suffering Run (dukkha samudayadhammam Ariya Sacca, to ultimate ). It is craving (tanhà) is the beginning of suffering, the arising of suffering, the cause of rebirth (ponobhavika), with the cooperation of aspiration aspire to this, the other in life. The center of pleasurable pleasure (kàmatanhà), bhavatanhà (bhavatanhà) and vibhavatana (citta) are the causes of rebirth and suffering.
3- O bhikkhus, this is the truth of the cessation of suffering (dukkha Ariya Sacca nirodhadhammam, Killing soles ). It is when the mind has completely departed and eradicated craving, no desire for profit, no longer pursuing desire. It is the mind to leave, refuse, escape and not nostalgic, not entangled.
4. Hey monks, here is the truth about the path to end suffering (dukkha Ariya Sacca nirodhadhammam gamini patipada, sole director ). It is the Noble Eightfold Path, which consists of Right Understanding, Right Thought, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness and Right Concentration.
Here the Buddha began to implement the Three Laws of Truth [10] as follows:
1.1- This is Suffering (ie the truth about defilements, suffering in the cycle of birth and death, as explained in the Truth of Suffering).
These Bhikkhus, the Noble Truths are the dharma that has never been heard before. Tathagata has seen, know, understand, experience and clear.
1.2- This is the Suffering for teachers to know (parinneyya).
These Bhikkhus, the Noble Truths are the dharma that has never been heard before. Tathagata has seen, know, understand, experience and clear.
1.3- This is the Tathagata known as the Parinnata.
These Bhikkhus, the Noble Truths are the dharma that has never been heard before. Tathagata has seen, know, understand, experience and clear.
2.1- This is the Noble Truth (ie, the truth of arising, the causes of afflictions, suffering and samsara, as explained in the Truth about Truthfulness).
O Bhikkhus, this Noble Truth is the dharma that has never been heard before. Tathagata has seen, know, understand, experience and clear.
2.2- This is the set of the teacher should eradicate (pahatabba).
O Bhikkhus, this Noble Truth is the dharma that has never been heard before. Tathagata has seen, know, understand, experience and clear.
2.3- This is the Tathagata to the ultimate destruction (pahinam).
O Bhikkhus, this Noble Truth is the dharma that has never been heard before. Tathagata has seen, know, understand, experience and clear.
3.1- It is Kill [11] substrate (ie the truth about the suffering ended, the pure bliss of nirvana, is true happiness, as was explained at the Truth About Suffering The Killing).
O Bhikkhus, this practice is not known before. Tathagata has seen, know, understand, experience and clear.
3.2- This is the destruction of the teacher should realize (sacchikatabba).
O Bhikkhus, this practice is not known before. Tathagata has seen, know, understand, experience and clear.
3.3 - This is the Tathagata found sacchikatam.
O Bhikkhus, this practice is not known before. Tathagata has seen, know, understand, experience and clear.
4.1- This is the Noble Eightfold Path (ie the Noble Eightfold Path, as stated in the beginning of this sutta).
O bhikkhus, this dharma is the dharma that has never been heard before. Tathagata has seen, know, understand, experience and clear.
4.2- This is the Way to the teacher should practice (bhavetabba).
O bhikkhus, this dharma is the dharma that has never been heard before. Tathagata has seen, know, understand, experience and clear.
4.3- This is the Tathagata practice (bhavitam).
O bhikkhus, this dharma is the dharma that has never been heard before. Tathagata has seen, know, understand, experience and clear.
Then to finish the "Three Laws of Turning," the Buddha said,
- Bhikkhus, if the Tathagata has not fully comprehended the Four Noble Truths in three aspects [12] and twelve modes [13] completely clear, Tathagata did not fully confirm this world Including the gods, Marauders, Brahmanas, Taoists , clergy, heavenly beings and the Tathāgata who attained Anuttara Samma Sambodhi.
"O Bhikkhus, until the Tathagata has fully comprehended the Four Noble Truths in three aspects and twelve modes completely clear, the Tathagata confirmed before this world including the gods, Ma Wang, Brahma, Taoist, clergy, heaven and human beings that Tathagata has attained the Supreme Enlightenment.
" And then the knowledge and insight (nànadassana) arise: Tathagata is liberated firmly, not shaky. This is the last birth of the Tathagata, Tathagata will never be reborn again .
The Buddha finished, the five monks are happy to praise the teachings of the Buddha. His legal Kondanna label associated documents are pure [14] (dhammacakkhu) and he found that " Something has to be born every Removal " [15] .
When the Buddha moved the Falun, the gods on the earth hovered, " This Falun is so wonderful! No Taoist, cleric, divine, magical or divine person in the world can preach as the Buddha preached at Deer Park in the village of Isipatana, near Benares . "
In this way, the gods of the four kingdoms, the Tàvatimsa, the Yama, the Tusita, the Nimmanarati, Paranimmitavasavatti), and Brahmanas in Brahma Parisajja, Brahma Purohita, Mahà Brahma, Appittaha, Appamanabha, Appamasubha, Subhakinha, Vehapphala, Asanna, Aviha, Atapa, Sudassana, Sudassa and Akanittha also cheers.
In that moment the cheering resonance, making the ten thousand worlds of the Brahma world trembling sharply. A brilliant light illuminates the world. The Buddha said: " Kondanna was enlightened! Kondanna fruit is enlightened! " Thus, Kondanna is named Anna Kondanna, meaning "Kondanna is enlightened". (Viniculture, Great Product, vol. 1: 17).
The next day, at the Buddha's sermon to the two monks, the other three alms round, then to split the time for six people eat. Next day, two alms round, three listen to the Buddha sermon.
4-Buddha business theory Uncle General [16]
Five days later, at Deer Park, the Blessed One taught the Anatta lakkhana sutta to the first five monks as follows:
- Bhikkhus, the body (rūpa) without self (general anatta). O bhikkhus, if the body is self, the body does not suffer, sick, old, decay. "Our bodies can be like this, our bodies may not be like this," both cases are possible. But because matter has no self, nature must suffer, and it is impossible to determine "Our body is like this, our body is not like this . "
" Also, the monks, feelings (vedana), thought (Sanna), onions (Samskhara) and informal (viňňāna) also are soulless, unreal body. All five aggregates are constantly changing constantly .
"So, monks, what do you think? Is this body common or impermanent?
- Lord Buddha, is impermanent (anicca).
- What is impermanent happiness or suffering?
- Lord Buddha, is suffering.
- So, is it reasonable to think of what is impermanent, suffering and transient with the idea: "This one of me, this is me, this is my self?"
- White Buddha, certainly not reasonable.
- Also, the monks, feeling, perception, and consciousness are impermanent and suffering. Is it reasonable to think that the impermanent, the suffering, and the temporary are "mine, myself, my ego"?
- White Buddha, certainly not reasonable.
- Thus, the monks, for all the body, whether in the past, present or future, whether in or out, rough or subtle, low or high, far or near, the teacher. It should be aware of its reality: " This body is not mine (n'etam mama), this body is not me (n'eso h'amasmi), this body is not mine ( Na me so attà). "
"All sensations, perceptions, actions, awakening, whether in the past, present or future, whether in or out, rough or subtle, low or high, far or near, With their being: "These are not mine, these are not me, these are not my being."
"The disciple of such a disciple will be bored with body, feeling, perception, volition, consciousness; Far away from the five aggregates, and free from all constraints. He will know for himself "I have been liberated, no longer reborn, the life of virtue has been accomplished, what must be done, no longer return to this state anymore."
While Lord Buddha taught this sutras, Vappa and Bhaddiya were first enlightened, followed by Mahatàma Kulika and Assaji. At the end of the lecture, the five monks happily praised his teachings. All five are dharma net bar, free from any binding, attained Arahant. The Buddha made the ordination for the following five: "Come here, monks! Dhamma has been taught fully, you must live holy life to end suffering. "(Vinaya, vol. 1: 18,19).
5- Mr. Yasa and 4 of his followers [17]
In the city of Benares (now Varanasi), there is a young man named Yasa, the wealthy nobleman. He lived in extravagant landscapes. One morning, he got up earlier than usual, seeing the girls sleeping as if they were sleeping indiscriminately, getting bored. This repulsive impression always haunts him. All the magnificent temples nowadays to him are just a sad, dark place filled with evil images. Recognizing the temporary nature of worldly life, Yasa leaves home, hoping to find the light of a noble life. He just sighed and said, "Suffering for me! Damn for me! " He accidentally crossed the river Varuna [18] (now Barna river), take time to Isipatana, where Buddha lived temporarily after the five monks attained Arhat.
Yasa arrived early in the morning, when the Buddha was walking. That day was the sixth day after the Buddha's conversion. Seeing him from afar, the Buddha stepped out of the way and sat in a place prepared. Yasa goes to the place, his mouth still lament "Suffering for me! Damn for me! " The Buddha said:
- There is no suffering here, there is no exile. Hey Yasa! Come here ! Sit down here, Tathagata will teach the Dharma to him.
Yasa was surprised to hear someone call his name; Looking back to see the Buddha is sitting dignified silence, immediately bent down to remove the gold decorated shoes, came in front of the Buddha, reverently bowed and sit back, said:
- Dear Master, you are so miserable! Dear teacher, please forgive me!
After some inquiries, the Buddha began to preach dāna, sìla, sagga, the disasters of the five senses (kàmadinava), the blessings of life Gia (nekkhamma nisamsa). Upon realizing that Yasa's mind was beginning to mature and ready to receive the higher teachings, he preached the Four Noble Truths. After listening to the Buddha's lecture, Yasa immediately attained Sotàpatti.
Yasa's mother was the first to discover her absence. She told her husband. The millionaire ordered his horsemen to go everywhere, and he walked toward Isipatana. When he noticed the print of his footprint on the ground, he searched his arrival. Seeing him from afar, the Buddha used his divine powers to show him not. The millionaire approached the Buddha, reverently asking him if he saw his son Yasa. Buddha said:
- Hey man! Sit here! He will meet his son.
The millionaire is glad, sitting down. The Buddha preached to him a simple dharma according to the class as taught to Yasa. He was very happy to say:
- Awesome! Awesome! The Blessed One, like the other, neatly reconstructs a falling object, or discovers a hidden object, or just the right way for the stray, or holds the light in the dark for the person who has it. Eyes see! The Buddha used many methods of preaching the Dhamma as well. Lord Buddha, I would like to take refuge in the Buddha, taking refuge in France and taking refuge in the Sangha. May the Buddha receive me into good faith layman. Please allow me to abide in the Three Jewels from now until the last hour of my life.
The Buddha gladly accepted and transmitted the five precepts. Yasa's father was the first layman (upàsaka) to receive refuge with three pilgrims. Upon hearing the Buddha's sermon to finish his father, Yasa attained Arahantship. Just then, the Buddha recited the miracle to the millionaire to see him. He was delighted, invited the Buddha and his disciples to the son rise the next day. The Buddha accepted his words by silent.
After the millionaire left, Yasa asked the Buddha for ordained ordained. The Buddha ordained Yasa with the following words:
- Come here, the monks! Dhamma has been taught by Tathagata fully. From now on, you should live the spiritual life of the monk to stop suffering.
With the great Venerable Yasa, the total number of disciples who ordained on the sixth day following the Buddha's conversion of the dharmas were six: Kondanna, Bhaddiya, Vappa, or Dasabala Kassapa. Mahalàma Kulika, Assaji and Yasa. All are Arhat (Arahattà).
The next day the Buddha came to the house of the millionaire with six Arahants. His mother and wife of Yasa to hear the sermon Buddha, attained Tu-momentum-refundable, for initiation ceremonies refuge [19] . They are the first two laypeople (upàsikà).
Vasa has four good friends named Vimala, Subhahu, Punnaji and Gavampati. When the four of them heard that his precious friend had shaved his hair and put on his life to live without homework, without a career, he visited and expressed his wish to follow that example. Yasa Venerable leads all four of them to the Buddha's audience. After hearing the Buddha sermon all four are attained A-la-drought and are asked to leave the Buddha. So on the seventh, after the first dharma in Deer Park, the total number of Buddhist disciples up to ten, are attained.END=NAM MO AMITABHA BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH GIAC TAM.THE MIND OF ENLIGHTENMENT.VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=GOLDEN AMITABHA PURELAND=AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.10/5/2017.
