The Dharma has been spread throughout the Ganga River Basin. Basic Laws and Dhamma (the Four Noble Truths, the Twelvefold Causality, the impermanence, the selflessness) have been taught quite adequately. Now, when the Buddha begins teaching the sublime teachings as the equality of the dharmas, the emptiness of the dharmas, all beings have Buddha-nature and Possible to become Buddha (flower-law). This is a very prosperous stage of Buddhism.
1st 21st in Jetavana (-569)
King Pasenadi was associated with King Mahānāma [1]
In April 569 BC, the Buddha from Vesalia went to Sàvatthi at the request of Sudatta Anāthapindika. This year the Buddha and King Pasenadi are 55 years old. Believed the Buddha to settle in Jetavana, the king rejoiced, bringing the royal family to visit the Buddha. Following the king there was also the post Visabhaksatriya (Vasabhakhattiya) and the two sons of the latter were princes Virudhaka (Vidùdabha) and Princess Vajna. On the 14th, after listening to the Buddha say that the mendicants refused to go to the king of feast king due to lack of trust in the king, King Pasenadi knew that the kingdom of Saka kata Kosala is a threat to the poison. Saka kin, sent envoys through Sakae to marry a princess in the royal family as the rear. After discussing with the courtiers, King Mahanaam used his daughter with a maid, Visabhaksatriya, to give King Pasenadi.
During the retreat, King Pasenadi did not miss a sermon from the Buddha without attending.
Mrs. Kisà Gotamì asks for mustard seed to save her [2]
Ms. Kisà Gotamì [3] in Sàvatthi just born a son first. Unfortunately, when the baby just know toddler and babbling talk cute, then the morbidly died. She did not believe her son was dead. She did not let people carry her body to the graveyard. She hugged her beloved child, went from house to house like a demented person, sought medicine to save her child. But good salaries no one can save the dead child. Some people find that pity, only to go to see the Buddha in Jetavana monastery can save the rescue. She hurriedly rushed to Jetavana, pay homage to Buddha and weeping and said:
- Lord, please compassionate medicine to save your child. Many say that only he can save it. Please feel sorry for us.
- Hey Kis, Gotam, do not be sad anymore! Come quickly to find a Tathagata here for a handful of mustard seeds in any house in this city of Sàvatthi to save her children. But you should remember to ask for that seed in a family that has never died before it can work.
Mrs. Kisà Gotamì was very happy, hastily running from house to house seeking for mustard seeds. White mustard seeds are almost any household, but throughout Sàvatthi there are no families with no deaths, or children, or parents, or grandparents. Calculates the number of deaths more than the number of people who live in multiple times.
It was late afternoon, the last rays of sunshine seemed to erase the hope left by Kisà Gotamì. The body of the beloved child in her arms began to chill, cold and stiff, the expression no longer a little god of life. In extreme suffering, she began to realize the dreadful truths of life and death. She whispered:
"This is not the law of the village,
"It's not the law of the city.
"This is not the family's own law
"But the general law of the whole world:
" All are impermanent ; [4]
She carries her body home, using a sari wrapped tight, with her husband brought to the grave. Then she came before the Buddha said:
- Buddha, I can not find a house with white mustard seed without the dead! I left his beloved child no longer laugh, no longer say, no longer put his little hands touching his face as before. I used the shirt's most valuable sari wrapped around its body, placed under a grove, next to the banks of the stream. I beseech the Buddha, please show me where you can get the white mustard without the shadow of death.
- Hey Kisà Gotam, you found something that few people found. This is the consolation in the bitter truth: Love clings to parents, spouses, children, livestock but sweet today, but tomorrow death comes like a waterhole in the dark night. Swept away the entire village is good sleep . [5]
Then the Buddha told her about the Impermanence and the Four Noble Truths. Listen to her results Tu-momentum. She asked to be ordained. Soon after, she attained Arahantship.
The human body like water bubbles [6]
A group of buddhists was given by the Buddha to the subject of meditating, withdrawing into the desert of practice. But after a few months of practicing the realization of no results, they discussed with each other and returned to the Jetavana monastery to meet the Buddha. Just to the gates of the monastery there was a heavy rain down. While standing in the rain, the mendicants looked at the drops of rain that fell into the water, bubbling out of the water and then shattering in a moment. There is a foam formed suddenly break down immediately after, there is a foam floating on the water a few inches, a few inches or a few yards before breaking. The mendicants suddenly thought of the body as well as the foam. Because they are familiar with the practice of the mendicant, the mendicant naturally goes into the subject of meditation: body as bubbly, see it and then lose it, and then kill it, what is the birth of what kill? What's missing? This world is the same, birth abolition, for what? What does that mean? Life as a dream, things produced as magic, human beings just as well ... The mendicons suddenly realize the deep meaning of impermanence, not self and birth.
After the rain stopped, the mendicants went to see the Buddha, expressing their feelings and experiences. The Buddha immediately said shelves:
" It should reflect the world
" Like dreams, bubbles.
" People look at life like that
" Never fear death . (Dhammapada, vol. 170)
