Shakyamuni Buddha
49.

21- Lower 43 at Jetavana (-547)

She Pajāpati and Venerable Rāhula passed away

The rainy season this year, the Buddha settled in Jetavana monastery. The Sadducees have two sad news: Pajāpati Gotamì died last year at Veslas, at age 117, a few months after the Venerable Rāhula passed away at Jetavana, at the age of 48. Venerable Rahula famous as mendicants honey almond [1] First. The departure of teachers make the residence season reduced by the gas. Especially the teacher Svastika felt very much lost. He lost a friend who needs attention to remind and instruct him every glass. At present pilgrims also see relics of the relics of the Rahula (No. 12) at Jetavana, next to the southern fence.

King Pasenadi murdered General Bandhula [2]

King Pasenadi traveled until mid-season settling back to the capital. Arriving at Sàvatthi, King Pasenadi went to the Jetavana monastery to visit the Buddha. The king told the Buddha that because of his age, he did not like to stay in the palace forever, so the king used to go there so that he could feel comfortable and have the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty. The king entrusted the tide work to the mandarins, only carrying a small entourage to tour the places inside and outside the country. On this occasion the king is free to practice meditation, fun scene leisure. King Pasenadi continued:
- Dear Brother, I was 77 years old this year. The Blessed One too. I have heard recently that the Blessed One also often travels to places of interest. But to where the Buddha also brought light Dharma to teach and guide people to learn. I still have the leisure, only to be comforted, benefiting themselves.
Then the king confided to the Buddha about his deep sadness for many years. The number is due to a coup plotted in the capital five years ago. After defeating Ajatasattu's army, Pasenadi succeeded General Bandhula and executed him. Nearly a year later the king knew that he was wrong. The king regretted so much. Bandhula was an old school friend of the king in Taksasila (see Jàtaka 465), who had great merit in defeating the Magadha army. The king sought to restore honor to General Bandula and to pay compensation to his family. In addition, the king also reminded him to call him by his, General Duke Karatean to become commander-in-chief of the royal army.
With the Buddha settling in the capital, King Pasenadi often goes to the Jetavana monastery almost every day to hear the sermon, or listen to the Buddha point to the more difficult places for the mendicant, or to practice meditation and walking meditation. After the season of settling, the Buddha set out on the path of Dharma, and he and his entourage went on a cruise.END=NAM MO AMITABHA BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH GIAC TAM.THE MIND OF ENLIGHTENMENT.VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=GOLDEN AMITABHA PURELAND=AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.14/5/2017.
