1 - 6 th in Jetavana (-584)
According to the book "The Buddha and his Teachings" by Venerable Narada and book, "The Historical Buddha" of the Buddhist retreat HWSchumann 6th at Mankula hill, near the capital Kosambi [1] of origin Vatsa (Vamsa). In this lower level, the Buddha used Yamaka Patihariya to rise into the air, transforming into many bodies, each body sitting on a lotus flower, with fire and water, simultaneously from the pores of the eczema, to overcome the pagan. This is the second time. The first time the Buddha used this spirit in Kapilavatthu to save the pride of the princes Sàkya.
According to Ānanda K. Coomaraswamy's book "Buddha and the Gospel of Buddhism," the Buddha entered the sixth place at Jetavana in the capital, Sàvatthi.
Buddha Khema in Rayagaha [2]
The Buddha from Vesali to Rajagaha of Kham (Thai Hoa), the latter of King Bimbisara. Ms. Khema is very beautiful, very smart, but very conceited about her beauty. Because of the Buddha's teachings, people should not cherish beauty so she never came to hear the sermon.
One day, King Bimbisàra attempted to take her to hear Buddha sermon at the Venuvana monastery. While in the sermon, the Lord Buddha used her divine powers to see a beautiful goddess standing by to fan the Buddha. Ms. Khema, as hypnotized by the beauty of the goddess, did not pay any attention to the Buddha's words, she felt that the goddess was more beautiful than her. But for a moment, she again saw the goddess slowly deformed from the fresh beauty of youth to the beauty of middle age, then back to the old ugly, then fell to death, Rã Ms. Khema suddenly startled panic kneeling down asked the Buddha about this strange phenomenon. The Buddha said:
- Hey Kha, you should not think that her beauty is true, forever. You should not think that what you just saw is an illusion. On the contrary, her beauty is only a mirage deformed hour by minute, now lost tomorrow; While old age sickness is the only thing that is certain, unavoidable.
Then the Buddha told her about impermanence, non-self, and the Four Noble Truths. After listening to her, she immediately attained the results of Tu-momentum, to be released. Shortly after, she attained Arhat and became the best monk in the Church.
Venerable Pindola Bhàradvàja performs miracles [3]
While the Buddha was still living in Ragagaha, a wealthy businessman hired a skillful worker to use his reddish redwood as a beautiful bowl. He hung the bowl on a high bamboo pole on the roof, then declared,
- If there is any one in this world is Arahant, please fly up to take this bowl and use.
He did so because he did not believe anyone was truly Arahant, and he was also looking forward to seeing a true Arahant as his master. The masters said:
- Do not do that. Bring the bowl down here for me.
- Please fly up there and take it down.
On the sixth day, exile Nathaputta told the disciples:
- You take care of it like this bourgeois "bowl which is right should give master materials we use. We should not have our teacher fly up there to get something so unworthy. Give that bowl to us. "
- Whoever flew up there, the bowl belongs to him.
Nathaputta told the disciples:
- I will put hands and feet as if to fly, but you have to run to hug me pressed to the ground, and say to yourself "Master doing? It is not advisable to reveal the divine power of the arahant to many people for just such a wooden bowl. "
Then Nathaputta came to the chief:
- Hey Mr. bourgeois, give it to my bowl. Do not tell me to fly up to get something unworthy.
- Please fly up there and get it.
- Okay, here are the disciples, come out and see me fly up to get this bowl!
Having said this, Nathaputta reached up to the sky as if to fly. The disciples rushed to hug him on the ground, shouting:
- Teacher, teacher, doing? Do not show the ardent power of the arahant for many people just because of a wooden bowl like that.
Mr. Nathaputta stood up and dusted the ground and said to his chief:
- Master, my disciples will not let me fly. So get the bowl down and give it to me.
- Please fly up there and get it.
On the seventh day, the captain stood looking at the bowl, telling the people around him:
- To this day I know with certainty that in this world no one is Arahant.
Meanwhile great faith and great faith Mahamoggallana Pindola Bharadvaja [4] was walking through it, hear. Venerable Moggallana said:
- Pindola, brother fly up to take that bowl down, let them see that in the disciples also many Buddhist arahant.
- Brother is the most divine in the disciples. So brother, fly up to get that bowl. I will fly under the support.
- No need. Brother fly up alone. Fly up!
Venerable Pindola closely centering on the body, enter and dwell optimistic thoughts and calm thought in itself [5] , and then taken up into the air, flying three laps around the Rajagaha for everyone to see, and then fly to the roof He took the red wooden bowl hanging from the bamboo pole, landing in front of the house. The chief fell to his knees, then asked the servant to bring some precious food to offer in the wooden bowl of the great Pindola and the bowl of the great Moggallana. Two virtues silent, calm, go back to the Venuvana (Truc Lam). The crowd followed with a loud cheering.
That afternoon the Buddha called the great Pindola rebuked:
- Bhajradvāja, the divine propaganda of the master does not make the pagan understand the Dharma, nor the benefits to the cultivator. From now on, in addition to divine teachings, teachers are not allowed to perform such miraculous deeds in public and also not use wooden bowls.
After saying Buddha said to break the wooden bowl of red fried wood used for incense.
The infidels heard this news, propaganda with the people:
- Disciple of Gotama soar bowl is made wrongly rebuked the teacher should be a must. That's why we refused to do it. We only perform miracles in the case Gotama dare stand out against us. But he probably did not dare.
King Bimbisāra heard this, asked the Buddha:
- Buddha, has forbidden his disciples to perform not psychic?
- Sir, yes.
- So the Blessed why when the foreign leaders challenge the Sun gods with them?
- If they want to compare magic, I will not refuse.
- Thus the Blessed One does not respect the precepts that the Buddha had set up for the disciples?
- Sir, I would like to ask the King: The king has a mango garden. The king ordered the ban on the people to eat mango. So did the king have to eat mango?
- I was allowed to eat mango in my garden, but other people were not allowed to eat.
- Also, Sire, I was right to perform psychic but practitioners do not get to do this.
- So the Buddha as long as will perform miracle and where?
- Sire psychic I will be performing on the full moon Asalha month, which was four months away, near Savatthi, where mango trees Ganda.
The Buddha performs the great deity at Sàvatthi [6]
Then the Buddha arrived in Sàvatthi entered the 6th in Jetavana.
Recall when the pagan patriarch at Ragagaha lost the map and the support of King Bimbisara. They pulled together to the capital, Sàvatthi, seeking the fervent support of King Pasenadi and the people of Kosala. But this year he came to Sàvatthi to enter the Jetavana monastery. The pagan exile in the court of King Pasenadi, the dhamma discards the Buddha's Dhamma and challenges the Buddha emulation race. They thought that the Buddha had forbidden disciples to perform miracles in public, he would not have been emulated. On the other hand, they let go to spit out the big mango trees in the surrounding capital of Sàvatthi thrown into the forest. They thought that the Buddha had said that he would perform miracles under the mango tree of Ganda, so he could not perform miracles where there was no mango tree.
On the full moon day of Àsàlha, Ganda, the keeper of the mango garden of King Pasenadi, collected a large mango that was ripe and delicious. He intended to bring it to the king. But he thought: If you give this mango to the king, only the king can reward from 8 to 16 mandarins only to live a month is the same, only equal to bring the Buddha, can be immeasurable blessings in this life. And the next life. Mr. Ganda picked up the mango and headed for Jetavana. But half way to meet the Buddha. He walked to the altar to offer mango fruit to the Buddha. The Buddha brought the bowl and then handed over to the great virtue of Ānanda. Venerable ànnanda peeled and then mango juice to bowl for Buddha use. Buddha told Mr. Ganda:
" Hey Ganda, you dig and plant this mango seed right here.
When Mr. Ganda planted the mango seed just then, Lord Buddha used water to wash his hands on the mango plant. Immediately, a mango tree sprouts, the trunk is short of its calf, divided into five branches, one vertical branch in the middle and four branches in four directions, and blooms full of fruit, fruit ripe extremely delicious. King Pasenadi was reported to the soldiers to guard the mango tree, and named the mango tree mango Ganda. The Buddha told everyone that the next day he would show miracles here.
Believe this, the foreign teachers announced that evening will compete with the Buddha magic to find a way to retreat smoothly, leaving Sàvatthi. Unfortunately, the master Pùrana Kassapa met with a loyal follower asking:
- Dear teacher, I go somewhere, I hope tomorrow is considered Kabbalah teachers competed with ascetic Gotama in Ganda mango tree.
- I have something to hurry. Sorry, we can not attend the contest.
- iron! You have declared that you will compete with the monk Gotama, but now you are trying to avoid?
- I have something to hurry. You want to see miraculous performances then go to see it.
Having said this, exile Pùrana Kassapa was ashamed to leave, and tied a large water jug into his neck and plunged into the river to commit suicide.
In the afternoon of the following day, the Buddha created a jade ring (five-ring bridge) in the air, from east to west. People see strangers rushed to the view line countless crowds. When the Buddha had just stepped out, there was a devotee named Gharani, a good man named Culla Anàthapindika, a seven year old nun named Cira, a nun Cunda, a nun Uppalavannà and a great Moggallana. Lord Buddha, but the Buddha refused. The Buddha said:
- Moggallana, this you, this is not your business. This is the heavy responsibility of the Tathagata, the Tathagata must make full. No one can take this heavy responsibility to replace the Tathagata.
With that said, the Buddha stepped up to the ring, went to the back of the sermon, all his body, and his apathy, which spewed out the fire (red light) that had spewed out the water (blue light), which radiated six Color to the Brahma heaven. At the same time, a buddhist incarnation also appears on the bridges, either go, or stand, or lie, or sit, when asked, when answering, with the Buddha both express the divine powers and teach the Dharma to the public. . Listening to a large number of people to achieve results-Complete (Backup).
The Sàvatthi people witnessed an inconceivable scene. There is now a Gandhabba Rukkamula tower, near Jetavana, celebrating the place.
After performing the miraculous parallelism of Yamaka Patihariya in Sàvatthi, the Buddha traveled alone to the village of Sankassa, upstream of the Ganga River, which had been inhabited.
