[XX - DISCUSSION ON EMPTY] « Sunnakatha »
1. [177] 'Thus have I heard. At one time Bhagavan resides in Savatthi at Jeta Gardens, the park of Anathapindika . Then the Venerable Ānanda come to Bhagavan, and after pay homage to him, sat to one side false religions. After sitting down is complete, Venerable asked Exalted says: 'Dear Bhagavan,' 'The world is empty, empty this world' 'to speak. This world is empty in a sense? '
'Because it has no self or nothing belongs to self, should' empty world 'to speak, Ānanda . And so no self or no self is what belongs to what? Eyes no self or no one belongs to the self, visible no self or no one belongs to the self, awareness of self or eyes without no one belongs to the self, in contact with eyes no self or no one belongs to the self; any experience arising from touching the eyes, either pleasant or unpleasant or uncomfortable and unpleasant rolls, are no self or no one belongs to the self. Tai no self or no one belongs to the self, sounds ... Nose no self or no one belongs to the self, the smell ... The tongue has no self or no one belongs to the self , the ... body no self or no one belongs to the self, the object is touching ... Italy no self or no one belongs to the self, the object of the ... awareness ... from the touch of the ... any experience arising from the touch of attention, or pleasant or unpleasant or uncomfortable and unpleasant rolls, are no self or no female of of self. Because it has no self or no one belongs to the self, to the 'empty world' spoken '(S iv 54).
2. empty as empty, empty of artifacts behavior, empty the change, supreme empty, empty in character.

There are empty inside, empty outside, blank on both sides.
There are similar empty, empty with differences.
There are empty in the search, in keeping empty, empty of success, empty of understanding.
There are empty in uniform, empty of difference.
There are empty in the selection, determination empty, empty, deep understanding, and empty the ultimate meaning of all kinds of empty, is to end the continued recurrence of [arahant], steps completed comprehend exhaustively.
3. Empty as empty as what?
Eyes no self or no one belongs to fall, there is nothing permanent, exist forever, eternal or not subject to change. Ear ... nose ... tongue ... body ... Did not have no self or that of the ego, there is nothing permanent, exist forever, eternal and not subject to change.
This is as empty as empty.
4. Empty the artifact behavior is what?
There are three kinds of artifacts behavior: behavior merit, merit harm behavior, behavior creates estate.
Acts merit no injury behavior blessed estate and generate behavior. No injury behavior blessed act of merit and creates estate behavior. Create estate acts without merit behavior and behavioral damage blessed.
These three types of behavioral artifacts.
There are three types of behavior anymore artifact: artifacts of the body behavior, acts of verbal artifacts and artifacts of the standard behavior.
Artifacts of the body behavior no artifacts acts of speech and behavior of the artifacts. Acts of verbal artifacts without artifacts of the body behavior and the behavior of the artifacts. Behavior of the artifacts without acts of verbal artifacts and artifacts of the body behavior.
These three types of behavioral artifacts.
There are three types of acts Another artifact: artifacts past behavior, future acts of artifacts and artifact behavior is now starting.

These three types of behavioral artifacts.

8. Empty by suppressing what is?
Desire for sense-pleasures suppressed and destroyed by renunciation. Anger suppressed and destroyed by non-hatred ... [and so on with the rest of the seven obstacle obstacles and opposition to the state of his obstacles, four jhanas, the four realms attain wealth gender identity, eighteen meditation actually the main character, and the four path to] ..., All gonorrhea suppressed and destroyed by arahant path.
It is empty by repression. [180]
9. Empty by replacing virtues opposition is what?
Through renunciation, sense-pleasures desire destroyed by replacing opposing virtues. Thanks to not anger, hatred destroyed by replacing virtues opposition ... [and so as above, leaving four path to] ... By contemplating return, to the wrong interpretation because bound to be destroyed by replacing opposing virtues.
It is empty by replacing virtues opposition
10. Void by cutting off what is?
Through renunciation, sense-pleasures desire has just been cut off and destroyed. Thanks to not anger ... [and so on until] ... Thanks arahant path, all of gonorrhea has been cut off and has to be destroyed.
It is empty by cutting off.
11. Void by making calm is what?
Through renunciation, sense-pleasures desire has been calm and just destroyed. Thanks to not anger ... [and so on until] ... Thanks arahant path, all newly infected with gonorrhea has subsided and destroyed.
It is empty by making calm.
12. Void by escapism is what?
Through renunciation, sense-pleasures desire escapism and has just been destroyed. Thanks to not anger ... [and so on until] ... Thanks arahant path, all newly escapism gonorrhea and has been destroyed.
It is empty by escapism.
13. Empty the inside is what?
Inside, the eye does not have or do not have the ego of the self, is not something everlasting, eternal existence, eternal and not subject to change. Inside, Inside the ear ... nose ... Inside, tongue ... Inside, the body ... Inside, the no self or no one belongs to self, not is something everlasting, eternal existence, eternal and not subject to change.
It is empty inside.
14. Void outside is what?

15. Empty both sides is what?

This is empty on both sides.
16. Empty the same as what?
Six senses are just the same inside and empty. Six external platform are both similar and empty. Six groups of sensory perception are both similar and empty. Six groups are both similar and emotional emptiness. Six groups are just the same experience and empty. Six groups of perception are both similar and empty. Six groups are both similar intent and empty.
This is the same empty.
17. Empty difference is what?
Six Senses inside are just differences with and without external platform six. Six platforms are just outside and no differences with six groups of sensory perception. Six Senses group are aware of differences both with and without six contact group. Six [182] are both differences in contact groups with and without experience of six groups. Six groups have recently experienced differences with and without cognitive six groups. Six groups are moderate cognitive differences with and without intent.
This difference is empty.
18. Void in search is what?
Search renunciation is no desire sense-pleasures. Search rival status, the four jhanas, the four formless realms attained eighteen meditation actually the main character, and the four path to] ... Search arahant path is not there all the gonorrhea.
It is empty in the search.
19. Void in preserving what is?
Preserve renunciation is no desire sense-pleasures. Preserving not anger ... [and so on] ... Preserving arahant path is no all gonorrhea.
This is in keeping empty.
20. Empty of what success is?
Successful renunciation of desire is no sense-pleasures. Success is not hatred ... [and so on] ... Success is no path arahant all gonorrhea.
It is empty of success.
21. Void in understanding what is?
Understand renunciation is no desire sense-pleasures. Understand not hatred ... [and so on] ... Understand arahant path is no all gonorrhea.
It is empty of understanding. [183]
22. Void in homogenous and empty of difference is what?
Desire for sense-pleasures is the difference and renunciation is homogeneous; no desire for sense-pleasures in uniform who committed to renunciation. Anger is the difference ... [and so on] ... All gonorrhea is arahant path difference and is homogeneous; no desire for sense-pleasures in uniform who committed the arahant path.
It is empty and empty uniform in difference.
23. Empty the choice is what?
Renunciation selection is no desire sense-pleasures. Choosing not hatred ... [and so on] ... Choose arahant path is no all gonorrhea.
It is empty in selection.
24. Empty the determination is what?
Renunciation is adamant there is no desire for sense-pleasures. Determined not anger ... [and so on] ... Determined in arahant path is not there all the gonorrhea.
This is adamantly empty.
25. Void in intensive understand what is?
Intense renunciation is no desire for sense-pleasures. Not intense hatred ... [and so on] ... Shenzhen understand the path arahant is no all gonorrhea.
This is a deep hollow out.
26. Empty the ultimate meaning of all kinds of empty, is to end the continued recurrence of [arahant], rank quite understand exhaustively is what?
Here [in what remains of this life] by renunciation, who fully understand exhaustively finish the continued recurrence of sense-pleasures of desire; by renunciation, he terminated the continued recurrence of anger;by thinking of light ... [and so on] ... thanks arahant path, he terminated all gonorrhea infections.
Or, thanks to Nibbana element without [the result of] clinging [past] was left, the people fully understand exhaustively that the continued recurrence of the eye has ceased and the continued recurrence of the eye no longer arise again; This continuation of the nose recur [3] ... the tongue ... the body ... the continuation of the recurrent ended and the continuation of the recurrent no longer arise.
This is the sense of the ultimate emptiness of all kinds of empty, which is the termination of the state continue to recur in [arahant], rank quite understand exhaustively. [4]

[1] In pitaka (Tripitaka), looks like this is the only mention of the term sabhava (nature). 'No self-nature': here 'nature' ( sabhava ) is Sayam bhavo (nature itself), that is in itself arises ( Sayam eva uppado). Or sabhava is sako bhavo (own identity); Private arise ( attano yeva uppado ). Since the existence depends on the conditions ( paccayayattavuttita ) should exist in nature itself can not or private nature, thus, it is 'no nature'. All I'm saying here is that it is not nature itself or private nature. Or, it is nature itself (sakassa bhavo ); because of different ideas from the earth element « great sites », each idea is separate (sako ) and 'nature' as a noun to refer to abstract concepts; and each idea without any real a substance known as 'nature', so in addition to it, it does not have any identity: ie it does not have any other qualities. Thus, it would like to say here is that everything has a unique nature. In other words, ' no nature ' ( sabhavena suññam ) is regarded as empty as empty as its nature ( sunnasabhavena suññam ). What does it mean?Means empty as empty as empty , not empty because other empty abstraction . But if someone says, 'Nature's own nature; and it does not have that nature. What does it mean? A concept known as a 'nature';[Nature ( bhavo )] which is distinguished in cash position from 'self' ( sa ) when compared to anything else, and so-called 'self-identity' ( sa-bhavo ). Since there is no existence of any entity, the existence of material conditions can not be expressed by ' bodies are born without nature '. Should argue thus: hence, the ' object is born ' will conflict; because something everyone does not arise can not be said to be 'born'. Because of Nibbana not arise should not be called 'born'. So here is just what is born will not be born as nature, and instead went on to say that 'because nature, birth, aging and death is not', this expression should end with the word 'now organic '. If the word 'born' ( vijata ) can be applied to something does not arise, it is also said that '' being 'born' and '' old dead 'born'. Because the word 'born' not be applied to birth, aging and death, is what does not arise, so the word 'no means no nature exists' contradicts the word 'born' because what everyone does not exist does not arise. And 'no' to something not being contradicted by the language used by Bhagavan said on the 'world' and also contradicts the logic and language of learning (nayasaddagantha ); and it contradicts many arguments. Therefore, the assertion should be rejected because it irrationally. In many Buddhist up question like: 'Hey monks, something wise to say where in the world did not exist, I say something that does not exist. Location wise saying something exists, I also said that there exists the wise ....
