22.  About the Three Precepts.

The goal  of  Buddhism  is to bring  beings  to the shore of  enlightenment . But the  path  taken to the whole leg,  the whole aesthetic  of this requires of  us born  a  will to persevere  and to keep his obduracy canonical. According to  the Buddha  , canon law has  absolute value   because it is the  main factor  in  determining the  success and failure of  the practice . The difficulty is we  do not  single-minded  and focused thought  to follow  the path that  the Buddha  has pointed out, the  external box where did  we  depressed that faltered. Therefore, before he   passed away ,  the Buddhainstructed several times on  the subject of  canon law. The Buddha taught:

 So what is morality?

 The strictness is strict, and the precepts are the teachings, prohibition. These are the  rules  that  the Buddha  has set out to guide  his followers  into  the path of  right path .

 So who must follow the rules?

 Depending on  the basis  of  sentient beings and also  depending on  the way of cultivation ,  the Buddha  has made many  rules  to follow that  practice . Morality  is divided into three levels: monkhood  at home , gender monks and Bodhisattva world.

 Monkhood  at home : those who have never  left home , also known as  the lay house  , just  follow  the five precepts  is enough.

According to  Confucianism  , there are  three diamonds ,  the army often  also the  Buddhism  there  three provisions ,  contingent world . Followers  Confucianism  can not follow  triangle diamond  which give  the army often . And  Buddhists  can not only take  three rules  without observing the  five precepts .

So  five world  consists  of what?

3) Do not  commit adultery :  adulterers  are referring to the  lewd  non-market  or  illegal . When husband and wife get married properly, it is called chief. In addition, all  sneaky , lusting is  illegal . Usually people mean  adultery  is always their mind  thinking  underhanded  about racketeering is the Word. To  purify the mind  ,  we must stay away from this vile practice and  try to cultivate  to  eliminate  those   bad thoughts . Further, we  must  remove  all  images  immoral  in  mind  as well as the  temptations  in life . Adultery  , the mind  impure  that is not to mention the melting of NAT, in and out of detention.

4) Do not be  disappointed : The  tongue  is  lying , saying  weaving , speaking two-dimensional tongue and  saying cruel . The guiding principles  of  Buddhism  is  respect for  the truth . Once the  lie  that  we  have  ingratiate  selfish ,  cruel  to harm people for  satisfying  lust  dark  around. Which  lied  , then whoever believes in me anymore. So the  ancient people  have the sentence: "Human unbelief unconstrained." But when it comes to harming people,  we  have created another  bad karma  . That is not to mention "evil evil reporter".

5) Do not drink alcohol: Alcohol is enamel, but glaze makes a drunk. When  we cultivate the Buddha  , we want  to eliminate  pollution  in the mind to generate  wisdom . Drinking it makes  us  drunk, but once drunk, the  wisdom  of  us  being  overshadowed  and  body  even more sick. Even worse, when drunk,  we  can do anything. Such as murder,  mischief,  driving accident , not control  humanity  and create  negative karma  that neither himself nor do not know.

 So what business is devastated?

 What are the karmas of dying?

 The Buddha taught again: "The  living beings  eat meat wine, killing  animals to make the party to  eat happy  music   will  pay the fruit  to  sacrifice  to the previous network. Some people borrow money borrowed from that incident won no pay,  retribution  do  animals  repayment for people and pay for all the new ones that now out of reincarnation ". 
 
 

Monks  : Those who have  abandoned  the  mundane world ,  are tired  of  the situation and wish to imitate  the Buddha in  order to be self-sufficient and  forgiving . There is a difference between master monk and  ordained .

We  often understand  who  ordained  who  abandoned  the family  to rely temple yet to  practice . But according to the scriptures, the temple door is still filled Trach chi in, so who  ordained  who must produce for three things:  afflictions ,  birth and death  , and  the third world .

So what are the  rules  for monks? 
 Based on  classics  of  Buddhism  , a person aged 14 to 18 who want  ordained  are called  novice . Notes  novice  this must hold true 10  precepts . Until 20 years of age, pay  novice  newly  ordained  monks . If paying  novice  yet insufficient  condition  , they must learn a few more years, at that time a new ready-to  ordained  monks  back. When they  become  monks  , they must keep 250 precepts.

 On the female side   , it is called  novice . Unlike some  novices , these  nuns who are  novices  must be more about the "tonic ni". This  includes  six basic laws  . That is: not  lewd , do not  steal , do not  kill , do not  lie , do not drink and do not eat overtime  fixing . These sub  nun  This must  be ordained  this for about 2 years before being  ordained  nuns . Once they  become  nuns  , they must keep 348 canonical laws. Further,

 In  the Surangama , Buddha is very  concerned  about  morality , he taught: "beings keep the  morality  , the mind will be  pure . Through  pure mind  arise out  wisdom  to break except  ignorance . Ignorance  is the  expression of the mind  . But this business goes a step further, that is: "The precepts are only for the  mind . It means that if the body did not  kill , robbery,  sexual misconduct ,  expecting language  and mind also do not  think  about killing, religion, sex, hope, the "know yourself" is no longer. Indeed, if still a little mind wandering  what the mind has not  completely  pure. If the mind is not  pure  , then  the body is  not  full .

 Who  Buddhists  must  realize  the  obvious  is a practitioner  at home  as well as monks are the same targeted  purpose  is  trying to  cultivate  in order to get  rid of six paths of reincarnation . Therefore  Sutra  Security Forum said: "If you want  to practice at home also, no  need  at the temple. People  at home to know  to practice it as Easterners have moral consciousness. And people in the temple do not cult like Westerners have evil mind. Just  pure mind , it is  self-nature  Western.

 Bodhisattva world: this is the world that  Buddhists  at home  as well as a monk to  life over  after  play mind  Bodhi  to  cultivate Bodhicharyavatara  order to have the opportunity  to do Buddha  and  goods of  all beings . Bodhisattva world teaches  us not to do something evil,  determined to  do all the  good work  and also  determined to  practice love, compassion, joy, discharge. To  benefit  all  sentient beings as  well  as  all species.

 In the past there were two  monks  from far away to  see the  Buddha. On the way, they have to cross a desert. Fortunately  they  found  a puddle, but in the water they contained tiny creatures. One for fear  of transgression  not dare to drink water should  die thirsty . While the other position thanks to a drink should live and seek  audience with the  Buddha. Seeing him, the Buddha rebuked that: "Mr.  Monks  other  precepts  do not drink, though dead, but he has seen me before. And he, do not  keep precepts , though alive, come  to  me, but he is thousands of miles away from me.

Says  short ,  morality Balaam honey  has a  efficiency  greatly to the  practice  of the  Buddhists . Because doing so, they have expressed the  practice of their duties in a  serious  and would bring  boundless  merit  to them. Moreover,  morality  has  value than  Giving  instructions because  Buddhists have  financing candidates ,  French pilot  without  morality  is impossible to reach  the Fruit  is. The reason  is that this man is both blessing and sinful.
